Community Care Access Centres (CCACs) are at the heart of an integrated, high quality, accountable and sustainable health care system. CCACs help people of all ages who need health services at home, at school, in the community or placement into a long-term care home.
Each of the 14 CCACs is part of a coordinated system that connects Ontarians with relevant information, direct access to qualified care providers and a comprehensive range of community services.
As a member of the volunteer Board of Directors of the North East CCAC, you will be responsible for directing the affairs of the CCAC in accordance with applicable legislation, approved strategic and business plans, and government policies. Assets include:
- Significant experience on a Board of Directors in the broader public sector;
- A good understanding of the Ontario health care system;
- Knowledge and experience in financial/accountability matters, legal, communications, performance measurement or contract management;
- Proficiency in English is essential;
- Proficiency in French is an asset.
