Teddene Long - Chair

Teddene Long was a member of the Board of York Central Hospital, serving as an Executive Member of the Board and as Chair of both the Strategic Directions and the Governance committees. She has recently been asked to return to the Hospital Board as an Honorary Director to chair a Steering Committee for governance renewal. A retired health care executive, Teddene held positions with the Victorian Order of Nurses, the Ministry of Health as a Consultant and the Home Care program for Metro Toronto. Other volunteer positions include President of the Board of Directors, Palliative Care Services for York Region, and Chair of the Board of the Council on Aging in York Region and Past president of the Bayview Golf and Country Club. Teddene served on Region 3 of the Ontario Hospital Associationís Regional Council Executive Committee and is the Past Chair. She also chaired the OHA Board Governance Committee for two years and was Chair of the 2007 OHA Convention Planning Committee.

She was elected to the Board of the Central CCAC in June 2009 and assumed the Chair position in December 2009.

Ron Farrell - Vice Chair

Ron Farrell, of North Bay, has been involved in community health care for over 20 years holding a number of significant and senior positions with Federal, Provincial and Territorial governments as well as the private sector. Mr. Farrell holds a Bachelor of Science from Laurentian and McMaster universities. In Yukon he held the position of Deputy Minister/President and CEO of the Worker's Compensation Health and Safety Board. With the Canadian Red Cross he was Director General, Atlantic Zone, National Director of Strategic and Operational Planning and Chief Information Officer. He retired as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Victorian Order of Nurses of Canada and started a Chapter of CARP for Zoomers centered in North Bay and serving 4000 members from Bracebridge to Kapuskasing. He has been a Rotarian for 31 years, is a recipient of a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International, and the Queen's Jubilee Medal. Both distinctions were awarded to him in recognition of his volunteer services.

Sandra Coleman - Second Vice Chair

Sandra Coleman has been CEO of the South West Community Care Access Centre since its inception in January 2007 and previously was Executive Director of the CCAC London/Middlesex since February 2002.  Sandra is currently on the Boards of the OACCAC, the Ontario Hospital Association and the Thames Valley Family Health Team, and has participated in and/or led numerous provincial initiatives. She is the CCAC sectorís CEO lead for HR issues, Information and Referral, and the CCACís Expanded Role.  Sandra previously practiced law with Lerner and Associates.  She has a Bachelor of Business Administration from W.L.U., and Bachelor of Laws from U.W.O where she was awarded the Gold Medal.  She has been awarded the Lieutenant Governorís Community Service Award and Ontario's Leading Women Building Communities Award for her community and volunteer work.  

Astrid Lakats - Treasurer

Astrid Lakats is the founding partner of Astrid Lakats, Chartered Accountant. For 20 years, Astrid has provided a wide variety of medium sized and family-owned businesses with key accounting services to track their financial results, plan tax strategies, meet statuary obligations and address personal and family needs. Ms. Lakats is not only a fully accredited Chartered Accountant; she also holds B.Sc. and MBA degrees. Astrid has taught business courses at York University, courses in the Certified Management Account (CMA) program and presented many seminars on tax planning, business development and succession planning. Ms. Lakats has held executive positions on a range of charitable and community Boards.

Betty Kuchta - Secretary

Betty Kuchta is Chief Executive Officer of the Erie St. Clair Community Care Access Centre, appointed in October 2006. She has been the Executive Director of the Chatham/Kent CCAC since 1997 and was appointed in 2002 as Executive Director of both the Chatham/Kent and Sarnia-Lambton Community Care Access Centres.

Ms. Kuchta is a lawyer having held several senior level positions in public administration. Betty received an Honours B.A. and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Windsor. She was in the private practice of law for a short time quickly gravitating to the public sector as Director of the Legal Assistance Kent, followed by 13 years as a Senior Municipal Administrator at the County of Kent in a number of portfolios including Director of Social Services, Director of Human Resources and Deputy-Clerk.

Megan Allen-Lamb 

Megan is the Chief Executive Officer of the North Simcoe Muskoka CCAC. Prior to this Megan was the Senior Director of Human Resources and Organizational Development and Senior Director with the Champlain CCAC where she oversaw the Performance Management and Accountability portfolio. She was responsible for leading the post-alignment corporate integration strategy. Prior to this, Megan was the Executive Director of the Haldimand Norfolk CCAC where she made significant contributions to the community health sector through her skilled leadership style and forward-looking vision. Megan has significant transformative leadership experience with a shared passion for our vision and mission, our collaborative leadership style, our commitment to Client Driven Care and our clients, and our role in the health care system. She has experience with all aspects of the HROD portfolio, with particular expertise in organizational development and learning organizations. She has a proven track record in leading and executing a change agenda in partnership with union and other partners, making a positive difference for clients and team.

Megan holds a Masters degree in Public Health with a specialization in health policy and management from the University of Alberta, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Windsor in Honours Psychology.

Bill Botshka

William (Bill) Botshka, of Pickering, holds a Master of Business Administration degree with specialties in Human Resource Management and Public Administration as well as a Master of Science degree in Strategic Planning from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University.

Bill is currently the General Manager for Hewitt Material Handling. He taught numerous part-time courses over several years at the Continuing Education School of Business, Centennial College. His community involvement has included serving as a Director and Chair of Durham Access To Care, now the Central East Community Care Access Centre (CECCAC), Director of the CECCAC Foundation, Director and Vice-President for the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of Canada, Director of Distress Centre Durham, and Director of Health-Partners (Ontario Division).

He is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration focusing on Corporate Governance in Not-for-Profit organizations.

Stacey has more than 16 years extensive leadership experience in the health and community sectors and a powerful vision for the Toronto Central CCAC.  Stacey is a system-level thinker who has implemented various quality improvement initiatives designed to challenge system behaviours, allow frail seniors more choice about their place of care and improve their health experience and outcomes.

She believes that leadership is a responsibility that belongs to all of us all and that when organizations come together to transform the experience of clients and caregivers, extraordinary things are possible. This is evident through her strong leadership and the partnerships she has developed in leading integration strategies for complex populations.  Stacey has been a member of the executive team of the Toronto Central CCAC since 2007. Prior to this she held a series of progressive leadership positions in the health and community sectors. She holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario and is a graduate of the Advanced Health Leadership Program from the Rotman School of Business. 

She is the Co-Chair of the Toronto Central LHIN Integrated Care for Complex Seniors Task Force, Executive Business Lead for the Resource Matching and Referral System for the Toronto Central LHIN and a member of the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Careís ED/ALC Expert Panel.

Michael Delisle

Michael works in the field of ISO Registration and Advisory Services and has worked throughout the world helping improve the effectiveness and efficiency of a diverse range of companies through certification, inspection, testing and advising. Michael holds an MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University and has worked with many not-for-profits and charitable organizations as a consultant in the area of strategic planning, corporate governance and organizational effectiveness.

Michael has been a member of various boards of directors over the past twenty years and has served the Guelph Minor Hockey Association for over seven years and is currently Chair of the Men's Night Golf Program at the Cutten Club. Michael lives in Guelph.

Douglas Evans

Douglas Brian Evans, of Portland Ontario, is a retired educator. During his career, Mr. Evans taught Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science for the Lanark County Board of Education (1971-1997). Since his retirement he has been a self-employed IT Project Consultant and Web-site Manager. He also lectures in Mathematics, Accounting, Computer Applications and Business Procedures for the Kingston Learning Centre (Smiths Falls Campus).

He has been active in the health care sector, where he served as Chair of the former Lanark, Leeds and Grenville Community Care Access Centre. He is now chair of its successor, the South East Community Care Access Centre

Cathy Hecimovich

Cathy Hecimovich has been an active employee in the health services field for over 20 years. Ms. Hecimovich is currently Chief Executive Officer of the Central West Community Care Access Centre (CW CCAC) and the Chair of the Ontario Association of Community Care Access Centre (OACCAC), CEO Council.

Ms. Hecimovich holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences from McMaster University, a Masters in Education from Brock University, and has completed the Advanced Health Leaders Program through the Rotman School of Management. Ms. Hecimovich is also a Certified Health Executive with the Canadian College of Health Leaders and a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). She holds an academic appointment with the graduate faculty at McMaster University as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the School of Rehabilitation Sciences.

Gilles Lanteigne

Gilles Lanteigne joined the Champlain CCAC in September 2010 as the Chief Executive Officer. Gilles is a recognized leader with more than 25 years of experience in strategic senior level positions.  He has been the Executive Vice-President of Accreditation Canada for the past nine years.  Prior to this, Gilles has held Chief Executive Officer positions in two hospitals in Quebec.

Gilles holds a Ph.D. in Public Health Management, a MBA, Master of Social Work and is a Certified Health Executive and a Certified General Accountant. Gilles is a also a surveyor for the International Society for Quality in Health Care, a member of the Strategic Steering Committee on Health Care Technology for the Canadian Standards Association and a former member of the Champlain LHIN Board of Directors.

Tuija is active in many Provincial Committees, and has taken a leadership role as Lead for the CEO Procurement Advisory Committee.  Tuija is currently working in collaboration with the North West Local Health Integration Network on several key initiatives related to home care at home and in the community.  Tuija holds a Master of Social Work Degree from Lakehead University. 

Carole L. Ward

Carole L. Ward has a wide variety of experience and leadership in community-based health. She served on the board of the CCAC of Halton for seven years, including a term as chair. A teacher by profession, she pioneered a special education program for secondary schools in Halton. Carole has extensive involvement in community services and supports for seniors, frail elderly and accessibility issues for people with physical challenges. She was a member of the MS Ontario Board of Directors and is also a long-time member of the Halton MS Chapter. Carole is the Chair of Elder Services Advisory Committee (Halton Region), Chair of the Halton Regional Chapter of the MS Society, and Chair of the Halton Oral Health Outreach committee. In June 2009, Carole was awarded the Volunteer Service Award for Geriatric Excellence ñ Regional Geriatric Program (Central).
