Become a Board Member

Community Care Access Centres (CCACs) are at the heart of an integrated, high quality, accountable and sustainable health care system. CCACs work with individuals and their families to develop a care plan tailored to their needs and then arrange these services directly. CCACs help people across their life span, from babies to school children with special needs to seniors who need health services at home, in the community or placement into a long-term care home.

Each of the 14 CCACs is part of a coordinated system that connects Ontarians with relevant information, direct access to qualified care providers and a comprehensive range of community services.

As a member of the Board, you will be responsible for directing the affairs of the CCAC in accordance with applicable legislation, approved strategic and business plans, and government policies. Significant experience on a Board of Directors in the broader public sector, a good understanding of health care administration, knowledge and experience in financial/accountability matters, and alternative language skills are considered an asset.
