Community Support Agencies
Community Support Agencies provide services that help people to live independently in their own homes. Some are non-profit services and others private. A fee is usually charged, though public funding for certain services may be available to those who are eligible. In-Home Nursing
In-Home Nursing agencies provide professional nursing services in the home, or work or school setting to people of all ages with a wide range of health issues. Personal support, respite care, companionship, homemaking, errands and shopping are other services that may be offered. In-Home Therapy
In-Home Therapy offices physiotherapy and occupational therapy services to people requiring rehabilitation services in their own homes. Other services offered may include speech language pathology, social work and vocational rehabilitation. In-Home Personal Support
In-Home Personal Support agencies provide bathing, dressing, grooming, medication assistance and other personal care. Additional services that may be offered include companionship, homemaking, errands and shopping. Hospice Care
Hospice Care provides palliative support for terminally ill people who are in the final stages of their illnesses and their families. Services are delivered in a community or residential setting by volunteers or professional staff.
Foot Care
Regular foot care helps prevent disorders and maintain healthy feet, and is especially beneficial for people with diabetes, arthritis or circulation problems. Foot care includes assessment of the condition of the feet, pedicure, treatment of basic foot conditions, skin care advice and sensitivity testing for diabetes.
In-home Hairdressers and Barbers
Hairdressers and Barbers are available to provide service in your home. Contact the South West CCAC for services in your area.
Meal Delivery Services
Meal Delivery Services such as Meals on Wheels deliver nutritious hot or frozen meals for a small fee on a regular basis to seniors and individuals with disabilities who live in the community.
Home Maintenance, Housekeeping and Homemaking
Home Maintenance, Housekeeping and Homemaking agencies have domestic workers and/or volunteers who provide assistance with housecleaning, laundry, household management, menu planning and meal preparation and assistance with moving and shopping.
Friendly Visiting
Friendly Visiting programs provide friendship and shared activities, usually by volunteers, to individuals living in the community who are lonely or with a medical condition. Companionship offers emotional and practical support as well as relief to the caregiver.

Transportation services that are wheelchair accessible.
Volunteer
Volunteers provide transportation for elderly people, people with disabilities and people receiving medical treatment who have no means of transportation.
Respite Care for Seniors
