What do I do if I am not happy with the care I am receiving?

Your Care Coordinator is interested in hearing what is going well for you and what can be improved. If you have a concern about your services, please contact your Care Coordinator.  If your concern remains unresolved after talking to your Care Coordinator, please ask to speak with his or her manager.

If you are concerned about a decision made by the CCAC involving eligibility, amount, type, or termination of your services, you can request a formal review of the decision.

Long-Term Care Action Line

The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care has expanded the Long-Term Care Action Line so that home care clients receiving care through their local Community Care Access Centre (CCAC) have access to this service. The Long-Term Care Action Line was launched in 2004 and has been a resource for hearing concerns or complaints from residents of long-term care homes and their families. Patients receiving home care or other support services can now use the Action Line, if they have a concern or complaint about the services they are receiving.  For further information regarding the Action Line, including phone numbers click here.
